Contradictions inside the credit
Fields that disagree with each other, for example a latest shipment date that falls after the expiry.
The LC workability review reads the credit, a draft included, and flags what you could not meet: contradictions, dates that cannot be kept and clauses that put payment in the buyer's hands. It needs no check credit.
The credit names what you must present, by when and under which conditions. If one condition is impossible, you usually find out when you assemble the documents, after the goods have shipped. An amendment then costs a bank fee and days you may not have.
Fields that disagree with each other, for example a latest shipment date that falls after the expiry.
A shipment date and expiry that leave no time to ship, collect the documents and present them.
Soft clauses and conditions that are not documentary, which let the applicant decide whether you are paid.
Wording your commercial invoice could not repeat exactly, or a description that only points to another document.
It reviews the credit, not your documents. Your documents are checked later, in the LC compliance check.
It does not contact your buyer or any bank. You decide what to ask for.
A clean review is not a promise that no amendment will be needed. It is not legal advice.
It does not replace the bank's examination.
The review is free to use and takes minutes. Open it, upload the credit and read the findings.
